Vietnamese students bagged four medals at the 32nd International Olympiad in Informatics, the Ministry of Education and Training has announced.

Vietnamese students bagged four medals at the 32nd International Olympiad in Informatics, the Ministry of Education and Training has announced.

Bui Hong Duc, a 12th grader from the High School for Gifted Students at the Hanoi University of Science, Vietnam National University, clinched a gold medal and ranked 11th overall at the competition.

Meanwhile, Vu Hoang Kien and Le Quang Huy from the same school both picked up silvers.

Tran Quang Thanh, a 12th grader from the High School for Gifted Students at the Hanoi National University of Education, won a bronze.

The contest was held online on September 13-23 and was the first time Vietnamese students had competed online.

In other recent competitions, Vietnamese students won a gold, a silver, and two bronze medals at the European Physics Olympiad, and a gold, four silvers, and a bronze at the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad.

They also claimed three medals at the International Biology Olympiad and triumphed at the International Chemistry Olympiad, with four golds.
