According to Ass. Prof. Dr. Dinh Ngoc Son, head of the Spinal Surgery Department of Vietnam-Germany Hospital, the meaningful program is a part of the cooperation between the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Vietnam Orthopaedics Association and Vietnam-Germany Hospital since 2012.
The program will provide a great opportunity for children to have their spines examined. Particularly, those with spine diseases or defects can have their spines fixed on time.
According to experts, scoliosis is quite common in children, and it becomes more serious when child patients are in their teen-age. Two in every three cases are girls. Most children with scoliosis under 3 years of age are congenital or due to neuromuscular disease. Children aged 3-10 years with scoliosis appear to have different causes.
As one of the leading health facilities in treating spine diseases in Vietnam, Vietnam-Germany Hospital has applied modern techniques and technologies to the treatment of spine diseases and successfully cured tens of thousands of patients without any complications.
