“Zero VND supermarket” opens to needy people in Hue
In Thua Thien Hue, the special supermarket is set up at the Royal Park urban area in Thuy Van Commune, Huong Thuy Town to serve the poor, near-poor households and other people in need in the locality. Accordingly, people can take necessities for free from the supermarket.
The supermarket is open from Monday to Friday. Each person can come here twice per month to get necessities after completing the registration procedures and showing their ID cards to the supermarket.
In order to prevent COVID-19 in accordance with the regulations of the health sector, a customer is required to keep meters away from others. All customers should have their body temperature measured and wash their hands with disinfectant at the entrance.
The supermarket in ThuaThien Hue has so far welcomed nearly 1,000 people since its opening.
The “Zero VND Happy Supermarket” was first launched on April 13 thanks to the sponsorship of the APEC Group.
The supermarket chain is now opened in 9 cities and provinces, including Hanoi, Lang Son, BacGiang, BacNinh, Hai Duong, Thai Nguyen, ThuaThien Hue, Phu Yen, Quang Nam, aiming at providing needy people with free necessities and foods during the COVID-19 epidemic.
