Minister of Public Security receives Indonesian delegation

HANOI – Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security hosted a reception for a delegation of the Indonesian National Police, led by its Deputy Chief, Mr. Syafruddin in Hanoi, on September 26.

Speaking at the reception, Minister To Lam praised the achievements of Vietnam – Indonesia cooperation in the fields of politics, economy, culture, society, security and defense.

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security and Indonesian delegation, led by its Deputy Chief, Mr. Syafruddin at the reception.

Minister To Lam spoke highly of the collaboration between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Indonesian National Police over the past years. The cooperation between the two sides in particular has witnessed a positive development through the exchange of high level visits; sharing information and experience on the prevention of transnational crimes such as drug offenses, crimes of human trafficking, and criminal use of high-tech.

Minister To Lam also appreciated the results of the talks between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Indonesian National Police this morning about plans for future cooperation.

Foreign affairs agencies of the two sides should continue to work together to implement the cooperation in the future, he urged.

Mr. Syafruddin, in reply, affirmed that the Indonesian National Police continually value and desire to strengthen the friendship and collaboration with Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam. He pledged further cooperation with the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam.
