Amended Law on Public Security Forces to be submitted to NA's Standing Committee in mid-May

PSNews - The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee concluded the 23rd meeting on April 17. During the 6-day working session, it discussed a range of issues in preparation for the fifth sitting of the National Assembly and adopted two resolutions.

In her closing remarks, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan asked the Government and the NA committees as well as other concerned authorities to take into account conclusions of the NA Standing Committee to promptly complete draft laws, supervision reports and law-making programs in 2019.

The above-mentioned documents must be sent to NA deputies ahead of the fifth NA session in May as scheduled, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan stressed.

The NA Chairwoman requested the NA's Secretary-General to soon complete the agenda for the fifth NA session and send it to NA's members for consideration.

"The NA SecretaryGeneral should also send the Conclusion Report of the 23rd session of the NA Standing Committee to all concerned agencies, organizations and individuals so that they can prepare their assigned contents for the following NA session", she said.

She also called on the NA relevant committees and the Government to complete the amended Law on Public Security Forces and the Law on Amending and Supplementing Laws relating to the Planning Law and submit them to the NA Standing Committee before its 24th meeting.

The 24th Meeting of the NA Standing Committee, which is scheduled from May 14 to 16, before the fifth meeting of the NA, will focus on socio-economic issues, state budget, voters’ opinions and a number of draft laws, resolutions and other important issues.
