Border guards urged to help locals in economic development
During her visit to Pa Tan border guard station in Lai Chau province on March 10, the NA leader also applauded the border guard forces who involve border communes in building the grassroots political system and assuming key positions in a commune.
“Cement border markers are not as firm as the people’s support. The relocation and creation of favorable conditions for the border people to stabilize their lives are the strongest border markers. Border guard officers and soldiers have won the people’s support to protect our sovereignty,'' Ngan said.
The top legislator said she hopes the officers and soldiers at Pa Tan border guard station will work harder to help locals earn a better income and access health services, fostering closer ties between the army and people.
