Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau welcomed in Hanoi

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on November 8 hosted a welcoming ceremony in Hanoi for Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived in Hanoi on November 8 to start his two-day official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

The visit takes place at a time when Vietnam – Canada relations are growing robustly and producing mutual benefits across sectors. Vietnam is currently Canada’s biggest trade partner in Southeast Asia and a prioritised market in Canada's Global Markets Action Plan.

The two countries established diplomatic ties in 1973 and began exchange of high-ranking delegations since 1994. 

The two countries have maintained high-ranking exchange visits and strengthened cooperation in political diplomacy, economic trade, and education and training.
.After the welcoming ceremony, the two Prime Ministers held talks and a joint press conference. During the PM Justin Trudeau visit, the two sides are expected to sign a number of important cooperation documents.
