It is more than a month to go when the APEC 2017 Summit Week will take place in Da Nang city. As the APEC 2017 Summit Week is seen as a good opportunity for Vietnam to promote its land and people, the central coastal city of Da Nang has tried its best to prepare for it.
Da Nang has basically completed all necessary projects serving the summit and related activities of the APEC High-level Week from November 6-11. |
According to the Da Nang Municipal Party Committee’s Commission for Popularization and Education, APEC 2017’s activities will bring great opportunities for local businesses to promote their goods and services and to connect with international companies.
The event, which is a highlight of the APEC Year 2017 in Vietnam, is expected to welcome 10,000 delegates, who are leaders from the 21 member economies and international businesses and correspondents.
To prepare for the important event, the city has improved its infrastructure, including upgrading a number of major roads, turning the Da Nang Fair and Exhibition Center into a press center and repairing the Tien Son Sports House.
Meanwhile, other communication projects for the summit week, such as the city's wireless system to ensure high quality of internet connection in all areas where the APEC High-level Week 2017 will be held, have also been completed.
In addition, the city has upgraded its power supply system and proposed a detailed power supply plan for activities during the summit.
Da Nang city has also proactively conducted surveys on routes and developed plans to ensure traffic security and safety for all participating delegations during the APEC High-level Week 2017, as well as worked out plans on fire prevention and firefighting at the hotels, to be accommodated delegations and plans for any eventualities.
