Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh presents gifts to needy people in Soc Trang
Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh presents gifts to locals in Soc Trang province. |
A working delegation from central agencies, led by Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, visited and presented gifts to ethnic minority families and the poor in the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang on February 3 in the runup to the Tet (Lunar New Year) Festival.
During the drive, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh presented 300 Tet gifts worth VND1,150,000 each local household living in difficult circumstances. Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh then extended New Year greetings to all local people.
On the occasion, the delegation also gave donations worth total over VND356 million to a school for children with disabilities in the province.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh realized good socio-economic development in Soc Trang province. He also asked Party committees and authorities at all levels as well as armed forces in the province to continue to implement practical activities to care for poor households and policy beneficiaries during Tet festival.
