People are amazed when seeing the Japanese chief of cabinet jogging in downtown Hanoi. At around 6 a.m. he was seen walking around the lake with his entourage, waving to people. Several locals returned the gesture.
He walked for around 25 minutes before getting back to his hotel, Vietnam News Agency reported. Mr. Suga and his wife arrived in Hanoi on October 18 for a three-day state visit, his first foreign trip after taking office last month.
During his visit, the Japanese Prime Minister held talks with Prime Minister Phuc, paid a courtesy visit to Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, and met with National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan. 
Japan's Prime Minister Suga also received Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission and Chairman of the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group Pham Minh Chinh, and met with students of the Vietnam – Japan University. The visit aims to improve the Vietnam-Japan extensive strategic partnership.
