Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide, who is on his official visit to Vietnam, took a walk around Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi on October 20's morning.

| People are amazed when seeing the Japanese chief of cabinet jogging in downtown Hanoi. At around 6 a.m. he was seen walking around the lake with his entourage, waving to people. Several locals returned the gesture. |

| He walked for around 25 minutes before getting back to his hotel, Vietnam News Agency reported. Mr. Suga and his wife arrived in Hanoi on October 18 for a three-day state visit, his first foreign trip after taking office last month. |

| During his visit, the Japanese Prime Minister held talks with Prime Minister Phuc, paid a courtesy visit to Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, and met with National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan. |

Japan's Prime Minister Suga also received Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission and Chairman of the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group Pham Minh Chinh, and met with students of the Vietnam – Japan University. The visit aims to improve the Vietnam-Japan extensive strategic partnership.
