A sport exchange event will also be held to increase mutual understanding between Vietnamese and Japanese soldiers and sailors.
The visit is taking place at a time when the relations between Vietnam and Japan in general and the bilateral defense ties in particular are continuously reinforced.
It is one of the specific activities to implement the agreements reached by leaders of the two nations’ Parties, States and defense ministries, aiming to further deepen the bilateral defense partnership.
KOJIMA will leave Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port on Sunday.
The Kojima is 115 metres in length and 14 metres in width with a total capacity of 3,000 tonnes. The visit marks the fourth time since 2013 that a ship from the Japanese Coast Guard has visited Da Nang city, according to the VOV.
