Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee  has rejected China’s election of deputies to the People’s Congress in the so-called ‘Sansha’ city.

The statement has been made by the Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee Le Duc Vinh on October 11.

In the statement of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, posted on Khanh Hoa province’s e-portal, Mr. Vinh insisted that Truong Sa (Spratly) island district is an integral part of Vietnam’s territory and under Khanh Hoa’s administrative management.

He stressed Khanh Hoa’s authorities and people were unhappy with China’s staged election in the so-called city of Sansha, illegally set up by China, covering Vietnam’s Truong Sa island district. The election seriously violated international laws and Vietnam’s national sovereignty over Truong Sa and Hoang Sa Archipelago.

Khanh Hoa resolutely rejects and strongly objects to the abovementioned action and demands China not repeat similar actions, which harm the bilateral relationship, the friendship between Vietnamese and Chinese peoples, and the feelings of the citizens of Khanh Hoa.
