Leaders of foreign countries and international friends pay respect to former Party chief Do Muoi

Many delegations of foreign countries and diplomatic corps in Vietnam attended the national funeral of late Party chief Do Muoi on October 6 morning in Hanoi to pay tribute to the late Party General Secretary and convey sincere condolences to the Party, State, Government and people of Vietnam.
A ceremony to pay tribute to late Party chief Do Muoi began in the morning of October 6 at the National Funeral Hall at No. 5, Tran Thanh Tong Street, Hanoi.

A Cambodian delegation, led by Ms. Men Sam An, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia, visits and pays tribute to former Party chief Do Muoi.

 A Cuban delegation, led by Ms. Olga Lidia Tapia Iglesias, Member of the Secretariat and Head of the Department of Education, Sports and Science of the Central Committee of the Party of Cuba, pays tribute to former Party chief Do Muoi.

Earlier, the Embassy of Vietnam in Cuba organized a respect-paying ceremony for Party leader Do Muoi on October 4 and 5 in La Habana. 
Ms. Olga Lidia Tapia Iglesias relieved the family members of late Party chief Do Muoi over the great loss. 
She also left touching words about former Party General Secretary Do Muoi.

A delegation of the Embassy of Singapore in Vietnam, led by Ambassador Catherine Wong Siow Ping, pays tribute to former Party chief Do Muoi.

A Delegation of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, led by Ambassador Umeda Kunio, pays tribute to former Party chief Do Muoi.

At the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, many Japanese officials and friends expressed their sympathies over the death of the former Party General Secretary. Among the mourners were Speaker of the House of Representatives Tadamori Oshima, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Hirotaka Akamatsu, Deputy Foreign Minister Norikazu Suzuki, Mie prefecture’s Governor Eikei Suzuki, Special Advisor of the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance Tsutomu Takebe, and Japan-Vietnam Special Ambassador Sugi Ryotaro.
A delegation of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Vietnam, headed by Ambassador Saranya Hasathi Urgodawatt Dissanayke, pays tribute to former Party chief Do Muoi.
Vietnamese embassies abroad began to hold tribute-paying ceremonies and open condolence books for former General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Do Muoi. Comrade Do Muoi was born on February 2, 1917; after a period of illness, despite the wholehearted care by the Party, State, medical group and his family, he passed away at 23:12 on October 1, 2018, of serious illness and old age at the Military Central Hospital 108 in Hanoi.
