Minister To Lam attend the Great National Unity Festival in Dien Bien province

PSNews - General To Lam, Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security, who is leading a Central-level delegation to work with Dien Bien province, on November 11 attended the Great National Unity Festival in the villages of Muong Nhe Moi and Muong Nhe 2, Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien province.

Speaking at the festival, Minister To Lam emphasized that the organization of the annual Great National Unity Festival held by the Dien Bien Provincial Fatherland Front with many creative and practical activities, thus mobilizing the synergy of the local communities, strengthening the spirit of national unity, contributing to building a safe, civilized and prosperous society.

The Minister suggested the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee to direct the Dien Bien Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, other local agencies, units and mass organizations to promote the patriotic emulation movements with renovative contents and forms while enhancing sustainable reduction of poverty and quality of new rural building. 

The Minister also urged the locality to pay more attention to building the security and order protection forces at the grassroots level, particularly the communal police force under Resolution No.22 of the Politburo.

According to Minister To Lam, the Ministry of Public Security has directed the Dien Bien Provincial Police in coordination with the Ministry’s functional agencies to build 1200 houses for poor people in Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien province, thus helping them stabilize their lives, improving production, contributing to local socio-economic development and national defense and security protection.

Speaking at the house-giving ceremony, Minister To Lam congratulated Mr. Ho A De and other families as well as encouraged them to promote their production and contribute to maintaining security and safety in the locality.
