Minister To Lam meets voters in Bac Ninh’s Que Vo district

PSNews – General To Lam, member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security and member of the National Assembly (NA) Delegation of Bac Ninh province on May 8 had a meeting with voters in Cach Bi commune, Que Vo district.

The event also saw the presence of Mr. Nguyen Huu Quat, Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee and other leaders of Bac Ninh province.

On behalf of the Bac Ninh’s NA Delegation, its deputy head Tran Thi Hang reported voters on replies of the involved agencies to voters’ queries after the National Assembly’s 6th working session; and informed voters of the draft agenda for the 7th working session.

At the meeting, voters in Cach Bi commune expressed their delight at the positive results of the work of the Public Security Forces and believed that the police at all levels would successfully control crimes, especially black credit crime in Bac Ninh province.

They also asked the Minister of Public Security to continue leading police units at all levels to prevent and fight crimes, contributing to ensuring public security and order in rural areas while intensifying public information and education on the Cyber Security Law. The voters emphasized that those who spread false information leading to public concerns should be strictly punished.

The voters also said that the Ministry of Public Security should speed up the process of posting active-duty police officers to commune-level police posts and invest more in facilities for the force.

Voters of Cach Bi commune expressed their concern over a large number of violations of traffic safety regulations on Highway 18 due to an increased number of of large transport vehicles. They proposed the State to pay attention to and invest in restore the national relic site of the famous temple of Nguyen Cao in Cach Bi village

They also hoped that the healthcare sector’s quality in district and provincial level would soon be improved.

Speaking at the meeting, General To Lam congratulated local residents on achievements in socio-economic development of Que Vo district in particular, Bac Ninh province in general, including their results of the building of new rural models that made big changes in every village of the commune. The Minister of Public Security spoke highly of the spirit of solidarity of the people of Bac Ninh in building their home province.

Minister To Lam said that the Ministry of Public Security answered 132 queries of voters nationwide at the 6th session. He hoped to continue receiving comments from voters during the next sitting.

Regarding the upcoming NA working session, Minister To Lam said the NA’s deputies will discuss the draft Law on Criminal Enforcement (amended), and Law on Exit and Entry of Vietnamese citizens.

The Minister of Public Security then informed voters on the socio-economic, security and order situation in the country in the first 4 months of 2019. He also revealed some big issues that have been focused by the Public Security Forces, including black credit, drug-related crimes, child abuse; and wrongdoings in the education sector.
