At the meeting, Minister To Lam congratulated the UK on its success in mass vaccination campaigns, contributing to successfully controlling the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

Minister To Lam affirmed that the Vietnam- UK strategic partnership has achieved positive outcomes in various fields over the past time. Particularly, the cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the UK law enforcement agencies has been strengthened with good results in terms of transnational crime control.

In the coming time, Minister To Lam suggested the two sides continue to effectively implement the signed agreements and memorandums of understanding on mutual legal assistance and crime prevention, so as to enhance information sharing mechanisms in the areas of counter-terrorism, organized crime, high-tech crime, cyber security, child sex abuse, illegal immigration, and so on.
