Ministry of Foreign Affair appoints new spokesperson

PSNews - Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang was born in 1972. She has a bachelor degree in English language and a bachelor degree in law as well as a master degree in diplomacy and communications. 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) announced on March 30 that Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang will be appointed as the new spokesperson of the Ministry from the beginning of April, replacing Mr. Le Hai Binh who has been appointed to hold the post of Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.

At the regular press conference on March 30 afternoon – a final press conference hosted by Mr. Le Hai Binh as the spokesman of MoFA, Mr. Binh officially said goodbye to press agencies before leaving for his new position.

He introduced domestic and international press and media Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang – the new MoFA spokesperson who will start the job from the beginning of April, and hoped that the press and media will cooperate with and support Ms. Thu Hang in the time ahead.

Ms. Thu Hang then gave greetings to participating reporters and highly appreciated the contribution of Mr. Le Hai Binh over the past years. She wished that the press and media will support her in popularizing activities and policies of MoFA at home and overseas.

Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang was born in 1972. She has a bachelor degree in English language and a bachelor degree in law as well as a master degree in diplomacy and communications.

Before being appointed as the Head of the Press and Information Department and the Spokesperson of MoFA, Ms. Hang held several important positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, such as Minister Counsellor at the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK, Director of the Information and Culture Department of the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs.
