Ministry of Public Security rehearses protection plans for 13th National Party Congress

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with relevant ministries and agencies, drilled in plans to protect safety and security for the upcoming 13th National Party Congress.

Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo’s member, Standing Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, Head of the sub-committee for the organization of the 13th National Party Congress, attended the event. General To Lam, Politburo's member, Secretary of the Public Security Party Central Committee, Minister of Public Security chaired the ceremony.

The event also saw the participation of Mr. Le Minh Hung, Party Central Committee’s member, Chief of the Party Central Committee's Office, member of the sub-committee for the organization of the 13th National Party Congress; Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi Municipal People Committee; leaders of ministries, central branches and public security units.

There were more than 6,000 officers and soldiers of the Public SecurityForces, the Army and Hanoi medical workers participated in the event.

At the event, Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Head of the Subcommittee on Security and Order Protection for the 13th National Party Congress briefed the delegates on the work of the subcommittee in the buildup to the upcoming most important political event of the country.

Addressing the event, Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong emphasized that all forces should mobilize the entire political system and the people with the armed forces playing the core role in protecting safety and security for the 13thNational Party Congress.

Minister To Lam ordered the participating forces to practice plans to ensure safety and security for the 13th National Party Congress.

Delegates and guests from the stand watched a march with various armed security forces, vehicles and technical equipment, as well as martial artperformances and exercises on dismissing illegal gatherings and riots, responding to terrorist attacks, conducting hostage rescue and safeguarding VIPs.
