MoFA gives further information about seven Vietnamese deaths in China

PSNews – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam on July 27 provided further information of seven Vietnamese deaths in China. 

The Guangxi Provincial Police of China reported the General Consulate of Vietnam in Nanning that seven Vietnamese citizens were killed in flash floods and landslides in Mengshan county, Wuzhou city, Guangxi province, China.

The General Consulate of Vietnam in Nanning is working with local authorities to complete necessary legal procedures for the victims’ funeral services.

In addition, 30 other Vietnamese people have been found safe in the locality. The General Consulate has sent information about the 30 Vietnamese nationals to the Vietnamese authorities at home for further verification. It is expected that they will soon return home thanks to effective supports from the General Consulate of Vietnam in Nanning and other competent agencies at home. 

Moreover, competent Chinese agencies also reported that three children (1-3 ages) of the Vietnamese workers have been sent to a caring center in Wuzhou city, Guangxi province, China.
