This time, the Q&A will focus on four groups of issues.

The first one relates to solutions to improve transport infrastructure and ensure traffic safety, especially in big cities, and the settlement of problems of build-operate-transfer transport projects. Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The will be the main person to field the questions.

Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha will answer queries about land management in big cities and localities with large numbers of complaints and denunciations, environmental pollution and control of businesses’ waste discharge, and measures to respond to climate change, especially in the Mekong Delta.

Meanwhile, Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha will be asked about the situation of tertiary and general education and solutions to improve learning and teaching quality at those levels, the management of preschool education, particularly in non-public establishments, and ways to address moral and lifestyle degradation among teachers and students.

Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung will field questions about Vietnam’s labour market, vocational training, and child care and protection.

During the Q&A sessions, the deputy prime ministers in charge of relevant fields, other ministers, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, the Inspector General of the Government’s Inspectorate and officials of the State Audit Office of Vietnam will also give further explanation of related problems.

During the fifth session, the legislative body will for the first time introduce a new regulation for question-&-answer activity. Accordingly, each NA deputy can have one minute to put question, and after three questions, the Cabinet member has three minutes to make the answer. The change is designed to increase dialogue and face-to-face debate.
