National Assembly to focus on law making in third working week

The National Assembly will spend most time in the third working week of the 6th session (beginning November 5) on law building work. 

On November 5, the legislature will discuss the extension of the NA resolution on piloting the grant of e-visa for foreigners and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and related documents. 

During the week, the draft revised law on execution of criminal judgement, the bill on prevention and control of adverse impacts of alcohol consumption, and the draft revised law on tax management will be presented to the NA. 

Besides, the NA will discuss a series of draft laws, including the draft law on the Coast Guard, the draft revised law on amnesty, the draft revised education law, the draft law on adjustments and supplements to a number of articles of the Law on Higher Education, the draft law on the People’s Public Security Forces, the draft law on husbandry, the draft law on architecture, the draft law on cultivation, and the draft law on adjustments and supplements to planning-related laws.

The NA is scheduled to vote on two resolutions on the 2019 socio-economic development plan and the State budget estimates for 2019 this week.

The 14th legislature convened the 6th session on October 22, which will last until November 21.   

During the session, the NA is scheduled to adopt 9 bills, a resolution and give opinions on six other bills.
