Nearly 200 reporters register to work at 1st APEC Senior Officials Meeting

At a press conference on February 18th in Nha Trang, a representative of the National Secretariat of APEC 2017 announced that the 1st Senior Officials Meeting (SOM 1) and related meetings have served as the opening of the APEC Year 2017. The series of activities and events runs from February 18th to March 3rd.

Nearly 200 international and domestic reporters have registered to cover news about SOM 1. To facilitate reporters’ work, Khanh Hoa province has opened a Press Center in Nha Trang.

SOM 1 includes 56 meetings, workshops, and dialogues of 38 committees and working groups in various fields such as trade and investment liberalization, business facilitation, climate change adaptation, human resources development, education, fisheries, e-commerce, and services.
Nha Trang has been chosen as the first city to host official activities of APEC Year 2017. This occasion is a good opportunity for Nha Trang in particular and Khanh Hoa province in general to introduce and promote its potentials and attract investors in the locality.
