The cabinet leader highly appreciated the cooperation outcomes between the two justice ministries, highlighting judicial collaboration as one of the most important contents in bilateral relations.
Minister Xaysy Santivong told his host that his visit is designed to continue stepping up the cooperation between the two ministries and both sides earlier had successful talks on judicial activities in 2018.
He described Vietnam’s official development assistance (ODA) projects as a contribution to the Lao Ministry of Justice’s personnel training, suggesting the two ministries further enhance closer and more effective coordination in the future.
PM Phuc assured Vietnam’s readiness to share with Laos lessons of both success and failure in its development process on the basis of the two countries’ special friendship and solidarity.
He said that institutional building is particularly vital to the development of a country as it covers legal institutions, development policies, and management and monitoring work.
He asked the Vietnam Ministry of Justice to provide the best support for its Lao counterpart at both ministerial and lower levels.
The PM requested the two ministries to effectively actualize the agreement between the two Governments relating to the judicial field as well as the signed agreement on their cooperation for the 2015-2020 period.
