Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended a teleconference on March 13 reviewing three-month operation of the National Public Service Portal.

Speaking at the event, PM Phuc said the addition of 11 public services on the portal has helped save time and cost, especially amid the COVID-19 outbreak at present.

He also asked localities to soon connect with the portal and standardise data on the national database on administrative procedures, making it easier for businesses and people to access.

The PM requested launching a monitoring system for e-government to gauge the level of the use of online public services in ministries, agencies and localities.

At the same time, he called for stepping up online payment of fees and taxes as well as financial obligations in the handling of administrative procedures.

The Finance Ministry was assigned to offer fee exemption and reduction to users of online payment of public administrative services.

About cyber security and safety, he asked the Government Office to work closely with the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Public Security to prevent leaks of data.

The Government Office was also assigned to build a centre to update data as well as monthly, quarterly and annual socio-economic reports.

As of March 11, the Government Report Platform launched 19 report functions of nine ministries and agencies.

After three months of operation, the portal has connected with 14 ministries and 63 localities, with nearly 79,000 subscribers, over 23 million visits and 2.9 million submitted documents.
