PSCPC reviews 30 years of implementing Party's policies on religious affairs

The Public Security Central Party Committee (PSCPC) held a meeting on November 12 to review 30 years of the Public Security Forces’ implementation of the Party's policies on religious affairs.

Member of the Politburo, Standing Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong, attended the meeting. General To Lam, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security chaired the meeting.

On behalf of the Public SecurityCentral Party Committee, Lt. Gen. Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security, presented a summary report on the Public Security Forces’ implementation of the Party's guidelines on religious affairs over the past 30 years.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong praised the great achievements obtained by the Public Security Forcesover the past 30 years in implementing the policies on religious affairs.

Under the Party leadership, freedom of belief and religion, and equality among religions have been ensured and fully practiced in Vietnam while material and spiritual lives of religious followers have been gradually improved, thus encouraging them to make positive contributions to the cause of national construction and defense.

Recognized religious organizations are basically operating in accordance with the Party's guidelines, the State's policies, and laws, promoting good cultural and ethical values ​​of their religions in society.

Playing a leading role in ensuring religious security, the Public Security Forces have strictlyfollowed the Party's and State's policies and laws on religious work. 

They have actively grasped the situations and advised the Party, State, and authorities at all levels on solutions to security issues in religious areas while fighting against hostile and reactionaryforces who take advantage of religious issues tosabotage the great national unity bloc, disturb social order and national security.

In his closing remarks, Minister To Lam affirmed that the Public Security Central Party Committee will seriously observe Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong’s instructions at the meeting, and assured that he would direct the Public Security Forces to effectively implement them.

Minister To Lam also thanked the Central-level agencies, ministries, and local leaders for their close and effective coordination with the Public Security Forces in implementing the Party's policies on religious work over the past years.
