At talks and meetings between Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Lao leaders, the two sides discussed how to continue increasing the special solidarity between the two countries.
The two sides signed seven cooperative documents and issued a nine-point joint statement, focusing on continuing to develop the Laos-Vietnam ties in an effective manner and bring benefits to both countries’ people.
During the three-day visit, the Party chief visited and delivered a speech to lecturers and students of the Laos National University, which was broadcast live both on Lao and Vietnamese national televisions for the first time, the Lao official said.
In his speech, he always emphasised the solidarity, friendship between the two countries, she added.
