President works with State Audit leaders

President Tran Dai Quang had a working session on April 13 with leaders of the State Audit, during which he asked the agency to pay heed to sectors and areas with high risks of corruption such as mining, capital construction, land use and cases of public concern.

It is imperative to include programmes and projects using foreign loans in its annual auditing programmes, and advise the President, Government and ministries on how to effectively use and manage foreign loans, Quang said while urging the sector to give consultation to the Party and State on major procurement and investment projects, and the annual budget estimates.

The State leader also asked the State Audit to accelerate the drafting of documents guiding the implementation of the Law on State Audit 2015, and ministries and localities to work hand in hand with the State Audit and provide the best possible conditions for the agency to enhance its role in the political system.

The agency was also urged to expand international relations and successfully organise the 14th Congress of the Asian Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) in 2018.

This year, the agency will also perform well its role as a member of the ASOSAI Executive Board, and President of the ASEANSAI’s Strategic Planning Committee for the 2015-2017 tenure, while joining working groups of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).

This year, the agency also aims to increase the application of advanced technology in its operation to improve working capacity and effectiveness.
