Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc works with leaders of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu
HANOI - On September 20th in the morning, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc meets with leaders of Ca Mau province at the Government Office.
The PM stressed the geopolitical of Ca Mau – Dat Mui, the southernmost region of our country. He also suggested various ministries to coordinate with Ca Mau to introduce comprehensive, synchronous solutions to overcome different challenges, especially climate change, for better economic development of the province.
The PM appreciated the development in aquaculture of the province considered it the strength and advantages of Ca Mau.
Mr. Phuc also praised the achievements of Ca Mau in ensuring security and social order. The province also strictly follows guidance of the Communist Party of Vietnam and policies of the Government. Regarding orientation for development in the time to come, the PM suggested Ca Mau to effectively and comprehensively reconstruct the agriculture sector.
He also emphasized that Ca Mau should ensure better security for fishermen, continue to support small and medium companies, promote entrepreneurship and businesses in the province.
At the meeting, PM Phuc approved the policies related to investments in construction in response to climate change, which includes minimizing and overcoming the consequences of drought and salinization.

Also in the same morning, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc also worked with leaders of Bac Lieu Province, which was under severe impact of climate change, including salinization in recent time.
At the talk, the PM recognized the province’s achievements in response to climate change.
Bac Lieu has made a great deal of efforts in economic restructuring or attracting FDI. The province is also home to various hi-tech shrimp farms. However, the PM required further disbursement for basic construction and promotion of human resources for better development.
The PM agreed on the project of application of high technology and hoped the province would develop shrimp farming to become its key economic motivation.
He also suggested Bac Lieu to introduce and conduct long-term as well as immediate solutions in response to climate change.
Regarding the province’s proposal on the completion of road system, the PM assigned the Ministry of Transportation in collaboration with Bac Lieu to seek for investment flows instead of relying too much on the State budget. He hoped other relevant Ministries to support Bac Lieu in attracting more economic projects.
