RoK President Moon Jae-in praises Vietnam’s U23 team

President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in and Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam had a meeting with Vietnam’s U23 team head coach Park Hang-seo, and players on March 22.

 In the atmosphere of friendship and openness, Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam expressed his thanks and warmly welcomed President Moon and his spouse to spend their time with the coaches and players of the U23 football team of Vietnam. 
 He also highlighted the fine outcomes in the cooperation between the two countries in the field of sports. The Deputy PM said that the excellent performance of the U23 team at the AFC U23 Championship in China in January is a joint victory to the hearts of Vietnamese people in Vietnam and around the world. 
 It also contributed to intensifying the friendship between the two peoples. 
"Warming up" for the game 
 Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam also stressed that Viet Nam highly appreciated the importance of cooperation in sports, culture and tourism in the overall development of the Vietnam-RoK Strategic Partnership.
 At the meeting, South Korean President Moon Jae-in expressed his impression on the performance of Vietnam’s U23 team at the AFC U23 Championship under the guidance of coach Park Hang-seo.

 President Moon also said that he himself watched the final match between Vietnam and Uzbekistan and emphasized that without the unfavorable weather condition, the U23 team of Vietnam would surely have won the game. President Moon also encourages the U23 players to keep their spirit and enthusiasm at the AFC U23 Championship 2018 to gain more achievements in the regional and international tournaments.
