RoK asked not to make statement hurting Vietnamese sentiment

PSNews - Regarding a speech of RoK President Moon Jae-in honoring Korean “contributors” joining battlefields in foreign countries, including Vietnam. A representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs seriously talked with a representative of the Republic of Korean Embassy.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang made the statement when asked about Vietnam’s viewpoint on the a speech of Republic of Korea (RoK) President Moon Jae-in on June 6 honoring Korean “contributors” joining battlefields overseas, including Vietnam.

"Regarding this issue, on June 9, a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs seriously talked with a representative of the Republic of Korean Embassy in Vietnam.", said Le Thi Thu Hang.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson added that: “Vietnam always attaches important to developing friendly relations with all nations, including the RoK. Leaders of the two countries reached common perceptions in putting aside the past and looking toward the future".
