The second summit between US President Donald Trump and Chairman of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korean (DPRK) Kim Jong Un is scheduled for February 27 and 28.

On the sidelines of the second DPRK-USA Summit, President Donald Trump will have meetings with Vietnamese Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong, and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Earlier, before departing to Vietnam on February 25, President Donald Trump showed his optimism about the outcomes of the upcoming summit.

Speaking to 36 U.S. state governors and territories at the White House, President Donald Trump believed that the second US – DPRK Summit will be a “very tremendous summit.”

"I'll be meeting with Chairman Kim and we'll be talking about something that he never spoke to anybody about, but we're speaking, we're speaking and we'll have a very good summit. I think we'll have a very tremendous summit. We want denuclearization," Trump said.

Tweeting on Monday ahead of the trip to Vietnam, he stressed the benefits for North Korea if it gave up its nuclear weapons. “With complete denuclearization, North Korea will rapidly become an Economic Powerhouse. Without it, just more of the same. Chairman Kim will make a wise decision!” Trump wrote.

The president also complimented Chinese President Xi Jinping for his help with Korean negotiations.
