UNESCO Director General pays tribute to President Ho Chi Minh

PSNews – Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Irina Bokova laid the wreath and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh on August 24.

The UNESCO Director General is on her official visit to Vietnam from August 24-27. Recently, the relationship between Vietnam and UNESCO has been developing effectively in all fields of education, natural sciences, social sciences, information, communication and culture.

As soon as arriving in Vietnam, on the morning of August 24, UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova visited President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and laid the wreath in tribute to him.
One of Irina Bokova's highlights during her visit to Vietnam is joining the Ministry of Science and Technology at the ceremony to establish two UNESCO Category 2 centers on mathematics and physics.
During the visit, Irina Bokova will have a working session with the leaders of Ninh Binh Province, visit the Trang An scenic landscape complex, and hold talks with Deputy Foreign Minister, President of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO Le Hoai Trung.

On August 25, Director General Irina Bokova paid a courtesy call to National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
The director general of UNESCO bows in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh. On the afternoon of August 25, Ms. Irina Bokova arrived in Ho Chi Minh City to visit the Can Gio Biosphere Reserve and a number of the city’s relics and beauty spots and met with leaders of the city.
