US Naval ships to visit Da Nang
PSNews – Le Thi Thu Hang, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided press agencies information about the visit to Da Nang of a group of the US Navy’s ships, at a press conference on March 1.

Accordingly, Hang said that, at the permission of the Vietnamese Government, the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, the guided missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain and the destroyer USS Wayne E.Meyer of the US Navy will make a goodwill visit to Vietnam’s central city of Da Nang from March 5-9.
A number of activities were scheduled for the visit, including a welcome ceremony, a press conference, courtesy visits, technical exchanges, sports matches, and other community activities.
She also clearly stated that the visit realizes the agreement reached by the two countries’ high-ranking leaders in the joint statement issued by Vietnam and the US during US President Donald Trump’s visit to Vietnam in November 2017.
It aims to continue promoting the two countries’ ties to match their comprehensive partnership, contributing to maintaining peace, stability, security, cooperation, and development in the region.
