Former Party General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Le Kha Phieu passed away in Hanoi on August 7 morning at the age of 89. However, his great mind, spirit and contribution will live forever with the country and Vietnamese people.

Former Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu joined the army when he was 19 years old. He had held many key posts in the army, including the Head of Political General Department of the People's Army of Vietnam. |
