Vice President congratulates new Japanese emperor

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh came to the Japanese Embassy in Hanoi on May 6 to extend congratulations on the occasion of the enthronement of Emperor Naruhito.

Writing in the book of congratulations on behalf of the Vietnamese state and people, the Vice President congratulated Japan’s new emperor, imperial family, and people.

She noted the belief that Japanese people will obtain further national construction achievements in the Reiwa era.
The Vice President stated Vietnam treasures and wants to develop its extensive strategic partnership with Japan for the interest of the two peoples as well as for peace, cooperation and development in the region and in the world.
Emperor Naruhito was officially throned on May 1, marking the beginning of the Reiwa era in Japan.
