At the meeting to make public the Vietnam Migration Profile 2016 in Hanoi.

Viet Nam always attaches importance to promoting cooperation with other countries in the region and world on migration management in order to share experience and information on migration, contributing to crafting appropriate policies for the development of the country in the process of international integration.

The Vietnam Migration Profile 2016 is the result of the project "Strengthening mechanisms for cooperation among Vietnamese authorities in migration management" that has been implemented by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Delegation of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Hanoi for 2 years (2015 - 2017).

The profile includes updated data on Vietnam's migration flows, as well as analysis and assessment of migration status; offers recommendations in line with the current situation in order to improve the management capacity of relevant ministries and branches, contributing to better managing international migration and strengthening mechanisms of cooperation between State management agencies.

A similar event on the release of the 2016 migration profile will also be held in Ho Chi Minh City on August 29, to widely spread it to relevant authorities, the public and foreign missions based in Southern Vietnam.
