Vietnam-Thailand: Cooperation in the Prevention and Suppression of Human Trafficking

Hanoi: The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security of Thailand held a bilateral conference to evaluate the achievements in implementing the agreement between the two countries related to the Prevention and Suppression of Human Trafficking on September 16 period 2013-2016.

Speaking at the conference, the Permanent Deputy Minister of Social Development and Human Security of Thailand Maitri Inthusut and the Deputy General Director of the Police General Department Nguyen Phong Hoa have provided the mutual assessments. 

During 8 years of implementation, the two parties have cooperated effectively in many plans regarding the Prevention and Suppression of Human Trafficking, contributing significantly to maintaining the public safety and social order.

At the conference, the representatives of the two delegations have signed the relevant bilateral Minutes and Action Plan, aiming to eliminate the human trafficking especially women, children and to help all the victims in phase 3 (2017-2020).

At the same day, on behalf of MPS's leaders, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Politburo member, Deputy Minister of Public Security  chaired the dinner reception, congratulating the successful of the conference.
