“Vietnam’s consistent point is in support of denuclearization on the Korean peninsula, the comprehensive nuclear test ban, nuclear non-proliferation and nuclear weapon disarmament” – Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Hai Binh emphasized.

Answering reporters' questions on September 10th for Vietnam's reaction related to North Korea's nuclear test on September 09, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Hai Binh underscored that Vietnam is deeply concerned about that action of North Korea. Such action seriously violated the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), increased tensions and threatened the regional peace and stability.

“Vietnam’s consistent point is in support of denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula, the comprehensive nuclear test ban, nuclear non-proliferation and nuclear weapon disarmament”, Mr. Binh said. Vietnam urged the involved parties to strictly abide the UNSC’s resolutions, taking practical actions to accelerate peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.
