Vietnamese and RoK senior officials vow to further strengthen partnership

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security on May 26 received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Korea (RoK) to Vietnam Lee Hyuk.

At the meeting with Ambassador Lee Hyuk, the Vietnamese Minister of Public Security expressed pleasure over positive developments in the Vietnam – RoK strategic partnership over the past time, in terms of politics, security, national defense, international cooperation, investment and trade.

Minister To Lam affirmed that Vietnam always attaches great importance to strengthening its strategic partnership with RoK as well as promoting comprehensive cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and RoK’s law enforcement agencies for benefits of the two peoples.

Minister To Lam, the Head of the Central Highlands Steering Committee, then briefed the ambassador on socio-economic and political development of the Central Highlands and the sub-region’s potentials waiting for investment in, such as industrial tree cultivation, fine processing of agricultural produce and vocational training.

In the coming time, Minister To Lam suggested that the two sides should continue to closely coordinate and to create the best conditions for RoK enterprises to invest in Vietnam in general and in the Central Highlands in particular.

Ambassador Lee Hyuk, for his part, thanked Minister To Lam for the reception.

Ambassador Lee Hyuk affirmed that, in his new position, he will do his utmost to cement and promote the relationship between Vietnam and Korea in general and cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and RoK’s law enforcement agencies in particular.
