PSNews – These days, the 141-police-taskforce groups of the Hanoi Municipal Police Department keep working amid the COVID-19 epidemic to ensure security and order and prevent criminals from taking advantages of the epidemic to commit crimes.

A working team of the CAND Newspaper (PSNews) on April 18 followed a 141-police-taskforce group of Hanoi Police named Y2/141 led by Lieutenant Colonel Le Manh Hung, Deputy Head of Traffic Police Sub-division No.2 that worked in the Quan Thanh Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.

Just for a short period of time, the working group captured many cases of people riding on motorbikes without wearing helmets, or carrying 3 people on a motorbike, or not turning the headlights on when it was dark. Some of them didn’t wear facemasks as required by the authority.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Le Manh Hung, their tasks are quite hard and sensitive as they have to work with people from all walks of life, including criminals of all kinds.

During the COVID-19 epidemic, the working group also enforce people to observe Directive 16 of the Government, in addition to their main task of ensuring local security and order.

That means, they should restrict residents from going out and ask them to wear facemask when they have to go out.

After years of operation, the 141-police-taskforce has become an effective model in crime prevention and control. The force has received much support from the people. The brand “141” has also horrified criminals.
