197 typical teams, individuals in “All people protect national security” movement nationwide honored

PSNews - Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, chaired a meeting on November 20 in Hanoi to honor typical examples of the “All people protect national security” movement nationwide in the 2015 – 2020 period.

Reports at the meeting read that, over the past five years, Party committees and authorities at all levels have paid attention to spreading the “All people protect national security” movement nationwide. The contents, forms, and approaches to conduct the movement have been innovated to meet the requirements of protecting national security and ensuring social order in the new situation.

More people have been mobilized to participate in the national security protection movement while more typical examples and effective security protection models in the movement have been recognized and popularized. Recently, all 63 provinces and municipalities have built thousands of security protection models from the provincial level to the grassroots level.

The Party committees and authorities at all levels have also well organized the annual “All People Protect National Security” Festive Day (August 19) with the participation of an increasing number of people. The movement has praised thousands of teams and individuals with their large achievements in fighting crimes and social evils.

To recognize their contributions to building the “All people protect national security” movement, the Ministry of Public Security awarded Certificates of Merit to 103 teams and 94 individuals with excellent achievements in the movement in the 2015 – 2020 period.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested public security agencies and units to actively advise the Party committees and local authorities to implement the guidelines and policies of the Party, State, and the Ministry of Public Security in building the "All people protect national security" movement. 

Typical individuals sharing their experience at the meeting. 

They should pay due attention to renewing the contents and forms of the movement while improving the quality of the movement in strategic localities or areas with complex security issues.

Furthermore, public security agencies and local units should strengthen coordination with local military units and Vietnam Fatherland Front committees in implementing the movement.

According to the Deputy Minister, the “All people protect national security” movement should be implemented in couple with other patriotic emulation movements and socio-economic development programs of the localities.

Additionally, public security units should attach more importance to carrying out policies for people participating in the movement as well as people participating in crime prevention and rescue missions, thereby contributing to strengthening the core force in security protection movements at the grassroots levels.
