The Provincial Police Department of Tra Vinh organized a meeting on September 30 to review phase 1 of the project to deploy professional police officers to communal police posts and announce decisions to post professional police officers to communes and townships in the province in the second phase.

In the first phase, 282 professional police officers were deployed to 95 communal-level police posts in the province.

The project, which was first launched in the province in 2019, has received great supports and good feedbacks from the local Party organizations, authorities and people. The deployed policemen have quickly grasped the local situations and take various measures to ensure security and order in the localities.

At the meeting, 23 teams and police officers were honored by the Director of the Provincial Police Department for their outstanding achievements.

In the second phase, 212 professional officers will be deployed to various local communal-level posts, bringing the number of professional police officers posted to communes and townships in the province to nearly 500. Each communal-level police post is now staffed with 5 professional police officers.
