4th ASEANAPOL Forensic Science Network Meeting held in Hanoi

The Office of the Police Investigation Authority under the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with relevant units on February 25 organized the 4th ASEANAPOL Forensic Science Network Meeting in Hanoi.

The meeting drew the participation of the representatives of the ASEAN member countries, the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, the UK National Crime Agency and the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL).

With the theme “Identifying challenges in forensic science”, the 4th ASEANAPOL Forensic Science Network Meeting aims to identify and discuss solutions to the current difficulties and challenges in the practice of forensic science. 

Meanwhile, the meeting also updates delegates on advanced science and technology applications to the forensic science work.

The 4th ASEANAPOL Forensic Science Network Meeting focuses on reviewing, evaluating cooperation results and exchanging practical experience in the field of forensic science in line with the contents of the Joint Communiqué of the 39th ASEANAPOL Meeting in 2019. 

Besides, the meeting also discusses and proposes the Operating Procedure and Terms of Reference of ASEANAPOL Committee for disaster victim identification and crime scene investigation.

The meeting is scheduled for three days, from February 25 to February 27, 2020.
