5th Public Security Forces’ Regulations, Shooting and Martial Arts Competition opens
PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on June 4 opened the 5th Public Security Forces’ Regulations, Shooting and Martial Arts Competition in Hue City.

The opening ceremony saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security and head of the organizing board of the competition; Major General Dao Gia Bao, Director of the Department for Party and Political Work; Senior Colonel Nguyen Quoc Doan, Director of the Thua Thien – Hue Provincial Police, and 400 other delegates.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh emphasized that the tasks of maintaining national security and social order and safety in the current context require every public security officer to have good virtues, firm political stance, excellent professional skills as well as good health and physical fitness in order to be able and ready to overcome working hardships and difficulties, undertake and successfully fulfill any assignments.

He asked the organizers, particularly referees, to uphold their sense of responsibility, and conduct events following the rules and requirements of the competition while participating teams should uphold the sport spirit of honesty and fair-play, achieve best records, and ensure absolute safety.
He also considered that the competition is a good chance for all public security units to exchange valuable lessons and experiences so as to improve the quality of personnel training in the future.
The competition is organized into the qualifying round and finale, with the participation of 4,100 officers and soldiers of 87 teams. At the qualifying round, teams ranked 1st and 2nd places of the 11 groups will be selected to compete at the final round.
