6 foreigners were timely rescued in massive flood

Bo Trach district public security forces have used canoes to timely access and safely rescued 6 Italian tourists stuck when staying in Phong Nha - Ke Bang.

While the flood occurring, Colonel Cao Tien Son - Deputy Chief of  Bo Trach district public security and 2 officials has used canoes to timely access and safely rescued 6 Italian tourists stuck in Phong Nha - Ke Bang.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Hung - Deputy Chief of Phong Nha public security said: ''Although our workplace was submerged nearly 2m, but once received the information, we still decided to go against the flood and rescue people to the safety places''.

Bo Trach district public security helping people to clean up their homes after flood receded

Colonel Dang Van Hoanh, Deputy of  Bo Trach district public security said: ''Thanks to the initiative and strengthening in coordinating special forces, Bo Trach district public security forces have contributed to limit the the damage caused by floods''.

"We have inform and mobilize people before the flood, resolutely displaced people living in areas have potential risk of floods to safe places, be active with the '4 actions in place' plan''. 

Bo Trach public security handed hundreds boxes of instant noodles and drinking water to people in flooded areas.

On October 16th, along with local rescue teams, Bo Trach district public security  has successfully found the body of Pham Hoang P. (9-year-old, residing in group 9Hoan Lao, Bo Trach district).

This is one of three missing bodies due to floods that local public security has successfully found.

Phuc Trach people now have to face many difficulties including the lack of clean water and food.

Pham Chi Anh - Vice Chairman of Phuc Trach commune, Bo Trach district, said: This time Chay Lap village was the center of the flool, due to heavy rainfall, the village was inundated over 2m, more than 80% of houses were submerged (static by October 15th).

Bo Trach district public security officials visited and encouraged people whom affected by floods.

Immediately after the flood  receded, Bo Trach district public security have help the citizen to clean up living areas, visit and send presents to the cases with terrible damages.

Colonel Hoanh said "A piece when you're hungry means a pack when you're full. We hope our helps could support local citizens to overcome the initial difficulties."
