AMMTC 14’s organizing board summons first meeting

Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the Organizing Board of the 14th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC 14), chaired the first meeting of the board on November 17 in Hanoi.

The Ministry of Public Security attaches much importance to hosting the AMMTC 14, a regional security cooperation mechanism as the success of the meeting will contribute to the overall success of Vietnam’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2020.

It will also demonstrate Vietnam’s responsibility and strong political commitment to the region and international community, as well as the active role of the Ministry of Public Security in strengthening cooperation in prevention and fight against transnational crime.

At their first meeting of the AMMTC 14 organizing board, relevant units reported on the progress of the preparation for the event.

Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi acknowledged the efforts of the involved units over the past time and asked them to coordinate closely with one another and fulfill their given tasks.
