PSNews – The police of Thuong Xuan district, Thanh Hoa has strived to make positive changes in the look of its offices and premises as well as the manners of all officers and soldiers over the past year, contributing to better serving the people.

One of the project that the Police Station of Thuong Xuan has been carrying out was to accelerate a comprehensive administrative reform. In doing so, it focused on reviewing and improving the whole set of administrative procedures, and cutting down unnecessary ones to save time for the people in dealing with administrative affairs.

Particularly, the district police managed to shorten the time of granting permanent residence permits to citizens from 15 days to 7 days; or coordinated with the local post office to deliver personal identity cards to the people in certain cases.

In maintaining local security, the district police has tasked each officer to be responsible for managing an area or suspicious subjects. This has helped them proactively brace the situation of their designated areas and detected emerging issues to give timely advice to the local leadership on approaches and solutions to the issues.

Particularly, local police officers closely watched and followed the local situation of complaints and petitions in order to advise the local leadership to deal with it effectively on time, avoiding complex developments in the local security situation and “hotspots” with complex security.

Meanwhile, the district police also launched various campaigns to ensure security and order and traffic safety, seize illegal weapons and explosives from people.

Thanks to all efforts by the district police, the security and order situation in the locality was stabilized.

In addition to the major mission of ensuring security and order, the Thuong Xuan District Police Station also mobilized a good deal of donation and support from various sources and organized many charitable activities, particularly presenting gifts to families of martyrs and wounded soldiers and investing in the building of gratitude houses for poor households in the locality.

Particularly, the district police deployed 100% of the troops directly to flood-affected areas in October 2017 to save and evacuate people and property, contributing to minimizing possible damages for the local people.

After the floods, the district police also helped the affected local people rebuild their homes, and raised money to buy 1 ton of rice for them.

According to a survey, 99% of the questioned people were satisfied with the service of the district police. This, in return, became a motivation for the district police to continue their efforts to fulfil all given tasks and gain more achievements.
