CAND Newspaper and Duy Loi company present gifts to people in Central Highlands
PSNews – Continuing of the program “Tet for the poor 2018”, a charitable delegation of the Public Security (CAND) Newspaper and Duy Loi company on January 19 in collaboration with the Gia Lai and Kon Tum Provincial Police visited and presented Tet gifts to poor local people.

The delegation, led by Senior Colonel Tran Thanh Phong, Vice Editor-in-Chief of the CAND Newspaper, visited Ia Khoul commune (Chu Pah district, Gia Lai) and Sa Loong commune (Ngoc Hoi district, Kon Tum).
Ia Khuol, a commune with various difficulties in Chu Pah district, is home to 1,174 households or over 7,300 residents, most of whom are of ethnic minority groups. More than 20% of the local households are rated as poor, according to Tran Quoc Nghi, Chairman of the People’s Committee of the commune.

The charitable delegation of the CAND Newspaper also visited and presented 100 gifts to poor residents of the mountainous commune of Sa Loong, which shares 22 kilometers of border with Laos, and is about 70 kilometers away from Kon Tum city. The commune is home to 15 ethnic minority groups.
Tran Duy Hai, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Sa Loong, expressed thanks to the sentiment and donation of the charitable delegation for the local people.
