CAND Newspaper’s collaborators gathered in HCMC

PSNews – The Cong an nhan dan (CAND) Newspaper held a meeting to thank its collaborators in the Southern region for their contribution on January 12 in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended the event. The meeting was also joined by former leaders of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), a number of leaders of departments, academies and schools under the MPS, local police forces; enterprises, donors, publishers, press management agencies, artists and collaborators in HCMC and other Southern provinces.

On behalf of the editorial board, officers and staff of the newspaper, Major General Pham Van Mien, Editor-in-Chief of the CAND Newspaper, briefed participants upon outstanding achievements of the newspaper over the previous year, emphasizing the steady development of the newspaper in various areas under the motto: “Humanity - Reliability - Timeliness.”

In addition to fulfilling all tasks assigned by the MPS, the newspaper also conducted various activities in celebration of its 70

th establishment anniversary. It is worth mentioning the launch of the English version of the CAND Online and the photo contest themed “For the Peace of Life.” Particularly, in the charity program called “70 years of CAND Newspaper - 70 Charity Houses”, over 100 charity houses have been handed over to needy police officers and households.

Participants at the event all showed their delights over the achievements of the CAND Newspaper over the past one year. Thanks to its increasing prestige and reputation, the newspaper has been capturing more attention and collaboration from various professional and amateur writers, contributing to its wider range of contents in general and its special publications, namely the An ninh The gioi (Global Security), Van nghe Cong an (Police Art and Literature) and Canh sat Toan cau (Global Police) in particular.

The Editor-in-Chief paid his heartfelt gratitude and wished all distinguished guests and participants of the event good health, happiness and success in the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet), hoping everyone will further join hands for the development of the newspaper.
