Ca Mau police asked to take breakthroughs in preventing crime

PSNews-Deputy Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son led a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) to work with the Ca Mau Provincial Police on February 6.

On behalf of the Ca Mau Provincial Police, Senior Colonel Phan Thanh Sy, Director of the provincial police briefed the deputy minister and the delegation on the outcomes of local police activities in 2016 and orientations for the year of 2017. Accordingly, the provincial police force well maintained local security and safety during the 20th Anniversary of the re-establishment of Cau Mau province and the Lunar New Year Holiday.

Speaking at the meeting with the provincial police, the Deputy Minister praised the provincial police force for their achievements in the past time. He also stressed that all staff of the Ca Mau Provincial Police should heighten sense of responsibility to complete all assigned tasks, contributing to the task accomplishment of the provincial police in particular and the whole public security forces in general.

Deputy Minister Son urged the Ca Mau police force to implement breakthroughs in preventing and controlling organized and transnational crimes; human trafficking; economic crime and corruption; and high-tech crime. It is also important to on time deal with people’s crime reports and to bring criminal cases to court; as well as minimize and avoid wrongdoings in conviction.

In the afternoon, the same day, Deputy Minister Son and his delegation also visited Cai Tau Prison.
